World's first hydrogen-powered superyacht launched

A luxury superyacht, formally known as Project 821, is serving as a testbed for green hydrogen technology as it is launched at Feadship's Amsterdam base. It stands as the largest motor yacht ever launched in the Netherlands.

Project 821, which was initiated on 4 May 2024, aims to explore the boundaries of hydrogen technology in superyachts. 

Feadship have collaborated with renowned superyacht brokers Edmiston and Lloyd's Register to develop not only the necessary scaled technology for superyachts exceeding 100 m (328 ft) in length but also the potential protocols and regulations.
