Scottish government delays plan to phase out gas boilers

The Scottish government has postponed its intention to commence the gradual elimination of fossil fuel boilers by a minimum of three years.

Patrick Harvie, the Minister for Zero Carbon Buildings, affirmed this modification while the government released a consultation for a fresh heating bill.

He stated that the delay would enhance the fairness and clarity of the proposals.

However, MSPs from the opposition have expressed skepticism regarding the funding of the decarbonisation plan, which is projected to require £33 billion.
