New gas powered buses are all systems go

A new fleet of buses in south Reading is introducing passengers to the wonders of gas.

Thanks to the bus service improvement plan funded by Reading Borough Council, the Buzz 9 route now operates with single-decker buses powered by compressed natural gas.

These buses are environmentally friendly, as they produce no particulates, hydrocarbons, and virtually zero carbon emissions.

Moreover, they are known to significantly decrease the amount of nitrogen oxide released into the air compared to diesel buses.
