IGEM CEO at Hazardex Live! conference

Last week, IGEM's CEO Oliver Lancaster headed up to Harrogate for the Hazardex Live! conference.

The event looked at hazardous area operations and process safety, bringing the industry together to review legislation, best practices and the latest research.

Oliver spoke in the opening session on the first day to give a broad perspective of the energy system transformation through the lens of the gas industry.

Other speakers in the session included representatives from HSE and DNV where presentations brought together different views and a clear appetite to learn and share knowledge.

This was followed by a panel discussion and Q&A with fantastic audience participation that delved into topics from inspiring the next generation in primary schools to the role of the new National Energy System Operator.
