This guidance note provides information to Gas Transporters associated with gas maintenance activities within multi-occupancy buildings (MOBs) and the associated liaison with relevant Building owners, Managing Agents, Local Authorities, Building Safety Managers who manage such buildings

This Gas Industry Standard specifies the minimum requirements for standard weld end preparations for steel pipe, valves, fittings and pipe pups. This standard does not preclude the use of other weld end preparations for specific situations if permitted by the codes and standards which are applicable at the time.
