YPPC Heat

Show your support for some of the industry's greatest young minds and hear about projects and innovations in your local area.

The South West & Welsh Sections invite you to show your support for some of the industry's greatest young minds as they showcase their forward thinking projects and innovations in the local area.

The YPPC is a competition organised and run annually by IGEM since 2002 for young gas professionals and students aged between 18 and 35 years. Initially a paper competition, it has evolved to encourage greater participation and now focuses on presentation rather than written skills.

The entrants are:

South West

  • Dana Abu-Suud, Project Engineer, Bohr Limited. Presentation: HyBreak: Enabling a Smarter, Safer, and Net-Zero Gas Grid
  • Noah Booker, Design Engineer and Purchasing Manager, Enduratec Ltd. Presentation: DURASEAL - Tensor Tool

Welsh

  • Molly Knight, Associate Internal Auditor, Wales & West Utilities. Presentation: Professionalising the Internal Audit Function at WWU
  • Marc Lennox, Trainee Hydrogen Analyst, Wales & West Utilities. Presentation: Building the skills for Hydrogen analysis for future gas networks
  • James Sharrem, Customer Performance Officer, Wales & West Utilities. Presentation: What is Great Customer Service?
  • Declan Spencer, Below 7Bar Network Analyst, Wales & West Utilities. Presentation: Under Pressure - protecting the security of supply in Hayle

Whether your competing or supporting the Section entrants, then come along to the International Convention Centre as they compete for a spot in the YPPC final.

Not only will the winning entrant secure a place in the YPPC final, they will receive £250 and have their paper published in IGEM’s journal, Gas International (Gi).

The Section heat runner-up will receive £100.
