Mentor Training Workshop

Becoming an IGEM mentor can be an enriching and rewarding experience. You’ll gain the satisfaction of knowing that you’ve helped fellow professionals to achieve their goal of attaining EngTech, IEng or CEng recognition and acting as a mentor contributes to your own CPD. 

This free training session is for existing IGEM members, professionally registered as an Incorporated Engineer (IEng) or Chartered Engineer (CEng), interested in helping others to achieve professional registration. 

The purpose of this workshop is to equip you with the knowledge and skills that you will need to mentor applicants through the Technical Report Option as well as the Professional Review and focuses specifically on the areas that mentees are most likely to need assistance. 

We’ll cover the role of the mentor and mentee, the requirements of professional registration for both IEng and CEng, preparing the synopsis and report for the Technical Report Option, and guidance on the Professional Review process.
