Join the North West Section at their Annual General Meeting (AGM).
The current Section Chair, Lewis Watts, will present an overview of the past year and the incoming Section Chair, Nick Jerman will present their vision for the coming year.
The Annual General Meeting will follow the normal agenda:
• Receiving the year end statement of accounts from the Treasurer
• Receiving the annual report of the Management Committee from the current Chair
• Receiving the list of Officers, Members of the Committee
Following the AGM, David Palmer, Business Development Manager for Geberit UK, will give an in-depth presentation of the Mapress systems now used by; Cadent, SGN, Northern Gas Networks, Wales & West Utilities, Costain, Last Mile and many others.
Geberit Mapress gas range was first trialled by National Grid in 2016. Press-fit systems have been included in IGEM/UP/2 2nd Edition since 2008, the 3rd edition is currently under review. More recently the Stainless-Steel range of pipes and fittings have been included in the latest edition of IGEM/G/5 Gas in Multi Occupancy Buildings. The use of the system is seen as a safe alternative to welded and screwed pipe as well as a faster and easier installation of above ground network pipework. The system has had extensive testing including an enhanced fire test to 800 Deg C. Gas Works is now available to calculate flow for design purposes.
