The Historic Gas Times has been delighting history fans since 1994, sharing inspiring stories, interesting facts and archive pictures from the gas industry's rich history. It is produced by gas experts and history enthusiasts that sit on the Panel for the History of the Gas Industry.
Once a standalone newsletter, The Historic Gas Times is now part of IGEM's journal, Gi, and is included in five issues each year. This has greatly increased readership and awareness of the Panel’s activities.
Who can Subscribe?
Everyone! Whether you're a history aficionado, a professional in the energy sector, or simply curious about how gas has shaped our world, The Historic Gas Times is for you. You don't need to be an IGEM member to subscribe and you get the added benefit of access to all of Gi’s other content.

How to Subscribe
Simply choose from the options below and complete your online purchase - you will need to login or register on the IGEM website as part of the process.
You have the option of purchasing the ‘standard annual subscription’, which includes:
- Five hardcopy issues of The Historic Gas Times (within the Gi journal) per year,
- Access to the digital edition through the IGEM website
- Access to an extensive back catalogue of previous editions through the IGEM website.
Alternatively, if you prefer online access only, you can choose the ‘email only annual subscription’ where you can access your digital edition, and back catalogue, through the IGEM website.
