Assign you with a mentor to help you support and achieve your personal goals. You can also become a mentor and we can support you on training workshops to enhance your mentoring skills.

IGEM hosts a range of events and technical seminars which focus on specific industry technologies and allow engineering professionals to come together and offer expertise and advice to technical issues. Some of the events IGEM host every year include the Annual Conference and Engineering Update, Gas Industry Awards, Summer Ball and Leadership Lecture. IGEM can give you the opportunity to meet fellow members at meetings and social functions.

  • Local Section Involvement

IGEM has ten District Sections, along with a Young Persons Network for those members under 30 years of age. The Sections are run by volunteers who organise a range of Continued Professional Development (CPD) events and networking opportunities.

Once accepted as a member, you will be allocated to a 'Section' based on your geographical location. This allows you to attend local Section Events and meet other IGEM members, to discuss any topical issues and concerns. It also involves social events and visits to other places of interest, such as Power Stations.
